As my research into the material and technique that I will be creating my 3D work, I watched an instructional video recommended by my teacher. In the video, artist John Edwards shows step by step how he creates his works based on a human figure. He uses a wire structure, then covered with newspapers and secured with masking tape. The sculpture is attached to a wooden plate. in the next steps, he shows how he adds his personal idea to the sculpture. Next, he mixes various kinds of gypsum and puts it on the sculpture to bring out the right shape.

Sculpting with Plaster 5: Newspaper, Wire, and Other Stuff
The final effect is amazing for me and reminds me very much of one of my projects that I did in the past applying blue on my body. If I had done this research earlier, I would have saved myself time and mess :D. This is a very informative video and already my imagination is working on how I will create most of my sculptures which of course I love to do. It is also very useful that during the course the author shows what plasters he uses and it will also help me in making a choice and knowing where and what materials I can buy in the future. In addition, I will be able to experiment more which for me personally will turn out to be the best in use as well as financially.
Thanks to this tutorial, I now know how to approach my project and what method will be the best to create my sculptures.
