The most important thing at the beginning was to properly prepare the base for my sculptures. Initially, I painted them white because I thought it would go well with the color of the sand.
First approach to the final outcomes started with my work on Dolphin. First, I bent the wire by bending and twisting it in the shape I wanted to get. Then I cut modroc into small pieces and soaked in a bowl with water and put it on a metal frame. Unfortunately, getting the right shape turned out to be very difficult and in some places I had to fill in the gaps with paper because the modroc did not want to fit properly. When everything was dry, I could start applying a plaster that was supposed to camouflage any unevenness. It was also supposed to be quite easy to grind, but it turned out to be too laborious and time-consuming process so I had to come up with another way.

I came up with the idea that since my sculptures are mainly related to the sea and everything marine, they can look like they are made of squeak. Thanks to this idea, it will not be necessary to obtain a perfectly smooth surface of my sculptures, only a lumpy structure of sand. This way I save myself valuable time but also achieve a very interesting effect.
When preparing my magic acrylic paint mixed with flour, I had to add some water because the paint itself turned out to be too thick and the flour did not want to form properly. There were a few lumps but they didn't look bad.
