This is one of Emin's installations at Royal Academy of Arts. I feel very attached to her work because it reminds me how depression can looks like. In my case it's a perfectly depicted state when nothing around you interests you, you don't even want to get out of bed. You are a mess and you make a mess around you. In my project it could also help me with how to show and organize feelings, colours and space on canvas.
I also choose this this painting because Emin just like me suffers from insomnia. This painting is a visualization of pain, frustration and misery. I will try to reflect my emotions in my project so that they are as clear and understandable as in her paintings and installations.
